I'm excited to share the best of day 1 photos from Fashion Pakistan Week 2015, FPW15 in Karachi even before most of the press, fashionistas & bloggers in Pakistan.
I've got lots of breathtaking fashion from designers such as Sana Safinaz and Ayesha F. Hashwani so without further a do let's get straight to it!
If you're looking for bridal fashion trends with an essence of Karachi elegance, Shehla Chatoor is the designer l would look for inspiration from fur dupattas to velvet lenghas. Also, she not only depicts the bride in her silhouettes yet etches chic suits for all the family of the bride or groom. As a British female, l would be more than happy if my future mother-in-law purchased any of Shehla Chatoor's collection. And it certainly has an ambiance of 19th century British Indian elegance. Even the groom sheds an appearance with his very extremely wide posterior.
Ayesha F. Hashwani
This next designer keeps impressing me. With her rich colour palette yet exquisite cuts and contemporary fusion, which is inspired by the Middle-East in parts takes Ayesha F. Hashwani's collection to another level! I particularly love the collection as fabulous, Ms Hashwani has created fashion for all occasions from red carpet potentials to party wear, everyday and office staples. The superb prints, hand embroidered techniques aren't overbearing yet ooze classy South Asian fashion even l would be proud to wear.
The next collection is best described through imagination. Imagine a Pakistani woman wanting western gowns with an eastern flavour pushed beyond the designer boundaries and infused with usual cuts to be different because she is unique. She's a woman with not with many words as she lets her fashion speak for her. And as she enters the room the chatter of people dulls down and 'ting' of champagne flutes stop for a moment. I introduce to you Hisham Malik's FPW15 autumn and winter collection.
A Pakistan designer collection l don't even need to introduce... Just enjoy the fusion of colour, which actually works with glances of beauty you never imagined from Pakistani fashion. Is this the new Pakistani woman emerging throughout the world, strong, bold and not afraid to be outspoken. Sana Safinaz makes a bold statement reflected in her fashion bringing out the true identity of her brand and new generation of women. She's finally arrived and here to stay gents!
Stay tuned for day 2 and 3 trends. Not forgetting red carpet photos and exclusive backstage beauty tips.
A big thank you to Pakistan in Vogue for the live feeds & FPW15 updates.
