Day 1 of Bloggers Love Fashion Week

People & PartiesSara K

This September my Filofax is full, especially over the weekends. An event l had to attend Bloggers Love Fashion Week (BLFW) this week. For all you bloggers and readers who couldn’t attend here’s an exclusive sneaky peak of September’s the bloggers fashion week!

Day 1 at Bloggers Love Fashion Week .jpg

The British have embraced bloggers hence this event was exclusively created for bloggers; where designers and boutiques can put their pre-season collections on display for bloggers to blog away!

One of my favourites was Nina Ria Hat Couture (above, image one). I had to walk over to have an examine as the items were just dazzling as l admired from a distance. When l took a closer look l wasn’t disappointed but taken back - the hair pieces were amazing! Genuinely luxury hair accessories ideal for your big day or a very special occasion!

Also it was lovely to see Asian brand, Vins Boutique who focus on subtle everyday and occasional Asian inspired jewellery (above, image two). I will be sharing their collection soon as l loved how practical their jewellery was and you could wear with your Asian or non-Asian clothing.

I do love innovation - something different and l came across a fashion label Sound Chick Accessories who hand craft unique fashion accessories from colourful feathers.

One fashion brand that stood out for me was Major London 05 - Asian duo Nav and Gurpreet (above) reminded me of a collection l saw at Lakme Fashion Week that combines street wear and urban fashion (above, image three.) It’s great to see up and coming designers giving us fashion we have not experience before or fusion of street and urban. It may not to be to everyone’s taste however, you can appreciate the creative and rare collection. Forget Nike, Adidas and Puma these types of brands - the trend setters are definitely ones to watch!

The fashion show (above, image one) triggered bloggers with next seasons looks and different ideas for everyday fashion for brands we would not find on the high street.

There’s lots more to come on day 2 at Blogger Love Fashion Week, so don’t forget to read the blog tomorrow.

I hope you enjoy reading the magazine, as much as I loved sharing the hidden fashion gems and supporting women promoting their fashion business. I'm always on the lookout for inspirational women running or thinking of starting up a fashion business. If you're one, please get in touch and you can join me at one of my exclusive meetups for women with fashion businesses.
