I have been searching for the top winter buys for the festive season exclusively for all you The Asian Today readers and here are some of my must-haves!
You may have spotted this next trend on eastern and western fashion weeks - velvet is back! From long velvet dresses to blazers and we can’t get enough. To update your wardrobe you have to buy Zara’s gorgeous patterned velvet kaftan for that ethnic flavoured everyday wear. Isn’t it just magnificent, l see you all will be rushing to Zara now and for £69.99 it’s a classic fashion piece you may need to invest in. You can always just add accessories and heels for a fabulous going out dress.
A perfect accessory to go hand-in-hand with the kaftan would be this divine River Island black art deco neckwear l spotted online. It sits on your neck and drapes gracefully on your shoulders and chest. If your anything like me and have lots of black, you can also purchase in the gold and pearl version.
Winter is the perfect excuse to wear fur without people looking at you strange. Plus with neck fur wear being a must-have fashion accessory for autumn and winter 2014 you can’t go without. As a result, l had a shop round and l found a subtle yet sophisticated twisted faux fur snood from Topshop. Faux fur instantly jazzes up a dull outfit and gives it an elegant touch. If you pull it off well you can rock it with your modern eastern suits or western fashion.
If you want to know a more casual festive look and some knitwear, my favourite has to be H&M’s new winter collection. Their winter wardrobe offerings include a wonderfully sequinned perfume bottle. It’s a bargain at £14.99 - grab it while stocks last.
And finally l had to add a hidden gem l found at TK Maxx, I’ve picked an on trend champagne clutch with gold detailing by Beth Jordan for an extraordinary £14.99. I particularly loved the machine woven mehndi style pattern. I must say TK Maxx have a great variety of clutches Asians to match out colourful Indian and Pakistani outfits.
The runway and high street has spoken ladies, it’s time to go shopping!
