With talk of Asian fashion, afternoon tea and the lovely Asian fashion blogging ladies sealing the deal how could l refuse new digital bridal publication, Maya Magazine’s Xmas Bloggers Afternoon Tea Party invitation.
I arrived in true Asian style, late. I’m not usually late but l did have to from London to The Space in Birmingham. Plus I had been to work Xmas party the night before so l was shattered. Although l had time to quickly sort out a red dress and come as lady Santa :) Thanks to Rabbia of Asian Wedding Ideas blog who kindly gave me her hat l was sorted! Thanks, Rabbia X
When l finally arrived, the ladies were gathered around with Maya and in true Asian wedding style l was eyeing the food. Maya Magazine Xmas tea party was organised well with hot drinks, sandwiches, Christmas themed cakes and biscuits and iPads to share Maya Magazine’s ideas. I could tell Maya Magazine had put a lot of thought into the tea party and presentation.
It was nice to see a publication engaging and asking for advocate and blogger opinions to undertake research. Plus not only that, not many organisations would take their weekend out to organise a tea party where they kindly hand-made all the beautifully decorated desserts and delicious snacks. And l am not just saying l couldn’t help myself with the food.
It’s always an honour to sit across some of the best Asian bloggers get everyone's honest views and opinions. All of the group help each other and supportive which is rare to find in any industry. Plus it’s always a good old laugh when catching up with the ladies. I caught up with one of the lovely The Desi Dossiers, who are based in Birmingham and l previously blogged about the sisters and why are South Asian Women are under-represented in the UK blog post. I love a good mingle with the sisters they always make me feel at home!
Before everyone left we had to snap some selfies and photos to blog and remember our 2nd bloggers meet up. As always it went to quick!
Maya Magazine defiantly deserves some blogger loving :x
Thanks Maya Magazine l look forward to the launch in early 2015.
