Michael Kors bags; What’s all the fuss about?

TrendsSara K

As most of you have gathered by now l like to keep up to date with the latest everyday British and Asian fashion. And l’ve spotted a growing Michael Kors bag trend on British Asian women.

Unless l’m going mad, everywhere l look l see Asian ladies in Michael Kors bags and l actually don’t know what the fuss is about - I’d love to know. It’s that particular tan or black shoulder bag, classic thin straps and very simple in design with massive gold MK initials dangling from the strap (as shown above.)

To some fashionistas those Michael Kors are just plain handbags with a pendant on the side to promote that you own designer wear. Every Asian girl has to have one, if it’s not the boy friend buying they want it for their birthday.

They reminded me of fashion l have seen in Mango, Zara and London TK Maxx’s. Ok so you don’t get MK on it but company branded but honestly if it looks great and feels like it will last you years what does it matter.

I just don’t know why every Asian girl has to specifically have them. It’s not the latest designer bags in the Michael Kors fashion ads, even they make me want one.

Surely it’s a Louis Vuitton monogram bag type of fad?

It hit me, I can see why all you ladies are buying the particular Kors bags… it’s scarce to find affordable designer bags you can wear with all your Asian and British clothes. It just goes to show us women want affordable designer fashion.

Top tips - Wear bags to compliment your look and not to over power it. A bag doesn’t need to do the talking, your fashion should do that for you and the bag should be the subtle cherry on top.

If you want to be different and unique my best advice would be to do your research. I found some wonderful bags from European online stores and brands l have come across in boutiques and outlets in London.
