Sara KPFW7

You may remember earlier in the year l blogged and reported live on Pakistan Fashion Week UK (PFW6). Well, it’s that time again Pakistan Fashion Week graces us in London.

Instead of having to go Pakistan to see the latest fashion trends and experience extraordinary eastern fashion, Riwayat brings Pakistan Fashion Week to the UK. It may be called Pakistan fashion week but whatever culture or religion – everyone is welcome to view eastern fashion trends from overseas and some designers here in the UK.

PFW is the only South Asian fashion show in London that brings you a balance of casual, Prêt, special occasion suits and subtle bridal outfits. They always bring us the top Pakistani designers to showcase on the fashion shows and exhibit just after the runway show. Plus it is one of the only fashion events where you will find designers selling their exclusive one-off pieces as seen on the runway.

One thing us British Asian haven’t mastered is designing and tailoring on trend Asian suits that we can wear during Eid or every day. And Riwayat, PFW7 introduces casual and occasions Pakistani designer Sonya Battla.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with Sonya Battla, she is known for reinventing the eastern salwar kameez in a multitude of ways, with innovative cuts, and restrained elegance.

Sonya Battla’s label has been synonymous with minimalist and modern design. The label aims to be the mark of high-end luxury Asian fashion. She always only uses the highest quality of fabric with a mix of modern and revived embroideries combined with unique silhouettes.

In Battla’s previous collections she has experimented with various fabrics and techniques from silk prints to tie-dye. And every time creates a different style or theme which many of her fans love about her collections. No wonder this Pakistani designers success continues to grow in Pakistan and abroad.

It’s time the UK experienced this Pakistani designer’s innovative Pakistani fashion. Join us on 10th & 11th of January 2015 for PFW7. For more information and tickets click here >
