I rarely feature myself and my looks in my blog posts but in the last year people have been asking to share more photos of my fashion and me. As a result, l had to give you all want you want and share some of my top looks of the year so far.
Like most of you lovely ladies, no matter what the occasion l like to change things up! My wardrobe consists of office wear, dress down to fusion fashion and subtle glamour. I wouldn't say any of these outfits are the best in my wardrobe but definitely practical and combine eastern and western trends.
PFW Velvet Trend
At Pakistani Fashion Week l wore a silky black tailored jumpsuit with a velvet jacket l designed. Due to the widespread velvet pattern and loose cut of my jacket l had to add a patterned necklace to create a focal point in my outfit and draw away from me looking one size bigger.
Red Carpet Glamour
At day two of Pakistani Fashion, Week l wore an off-white jumpsuit paired with a long silk jacket l designed. I added a fur snood as it was nippy and topped it off with a gold belt for that extra wow factor.
For Xmas, it was freezing hence l wore my jeans, black suede boots, red jacket to add some colour and my favourite fur snood. I added a chunky watch to include another dimension to my outfit as it was slightly plain. And l can't forget my very practical and favourite leather handbag.
For a South Asian TV channel interview l wore an on-trend off-white collar blouse and trousers with a pink floral velvet jacket my sister and me designed. I was lucky the jacket fabric had elements of tan and brown as l was able to wear a tan waist belt to give out outfit shape.
Afternoon Tea Ensemble
For an Indian afternoon tea in London, l decided to add an ethnic flavoured jacket as my statement piece on a black and cream canvas. Some days l prefer to dress smart-casual as it's practical and just add my suede flats.
For a smart casual look l went with a chiffon shirt, tailored patterned trousers with block heel ankle boots. As the shirt sits out slightly l added a subtle necklace to draw away from my stomach area. My favourites of this outfit was the silver detailed handbag and long jumper l purchased from Zara in winter - l love it as it can make any tight outfit look elegant.
Spring & Summer 15
The yellow, white and black paisley midi dress l designed was perfect for the early spring weather! Just as the sun starts to peak. The block sandal style heels are on trend and can be worn to many occasions. Don't you love it when practical fashion is trendy!
VIP Launch Event
Everyone loved this outfit mainly due to the statement piece - Indonesian jacket l brought from Eid Festival. When it came to the maxi dress l had to test and trail burgundy, cream and navy blue (three colours within the jacket). The cream dress was overpowering burgundy shade was slightly off and navy blue went best. It's always good to stick with two variations and test what stands out the best. I struck lucky with the beige heels ;) As most of you loved this look, I created a video explaining the look in detail >
