Last week l went to Brent Cross Shopping Centre to find a birthday present for one of my best friends. Whilst on my shopping search I came across an outlet l seemed to be hanging around and admiring for inspiration a lot more than other shops. I was lingering in John Lewis' fashion department.
I found some some unique pieces that many major retailers don’t offer. After hanging around like l was stalking someone, l finally chose my top three fashion brands to wear this Spring and in no particular order;
The Hobbs collection had a wide range of unique everyday fashion pieces. The cream leather effect dress and top with dotted indentations was cute, you could wear to work or pair with jeans to wear casually.
The blouses had integrate detailing and the cut and quality of the garments were better than what you would normally find on the high street.
I liked how Whistles had a combination of casual and formal pieces. My favourite casual piece was the wonderful casual quilted top in a stone beige colour.
Another of my favourites was their classic formal midi dress in a bright orangey colour (perfect for Spring) jazzed up with a unusual leopard print scarf.
3, Somerset by Alice Temperley
I can sum this collection up in 2 words, ‘simply exquisite.’ A top Fashion Week designer Alice Temperley showed off her casual collection in John Lewis with a bang. It was subtle, casual yet eye catching and unique. I hung around the collection for ages not knowing it was Alice Temperley range - Somerset Collection.
I loved the crochet peplum top and skirt in cream or a choice of navy blue. The cream and black cotton midi dress would suit most body shapes and the folded detailing was just perfect for a everyday casual dress.
Overall l experience a different type of fashion; John Lewis shows us runway style fashion doesn't have to be ££££. All these pieces can be found for under £100 - you have to love John Lewis.
I love how all these British brands and fashion designers produce beautiful blouses, dresses and outfits that can be worn everyday and dressed up by accessorising for a more formal or party occasion.
